Gaz enjoys travel and the experiences that are associated with discovering new people and places. His travels have brought him to 70 countries and 7 continents.

Travel, whether good or bad, contributes to an amazing mosiac of memories. Whether it is being shaken down for a bribe by Russian cops on Moscow streets, being quarantined by the Chinese government in Tibet for 5 days, being felled by a case of unbearable food sickness in Yemen, being told by your new friend from Syria that “we hate America” as you drive from Amman to Damascus, being advised that the “number one mafia in Taiwan” might want to physically harm you, or being vastly overcharged for that once in a lifetime safari in Africa. These are both the good and the bad experiences.

He is looking forward to creating more memories on this 7000km adventure, making new friends, and butchering their native tongues with attempted efforts of communication.

One half of the team is Mark, a fearless Norwegian who currently resides in the USA. Mark brings the team a wealth of navigational knowledge and charisma with a hint of resourcefulness.

He is an award-winning renowned sailor in the water, yet lives in the landlocked areas of the midwestern United States, and will utilize these skills to contribute to a winning team.
